Hello,
Don't know if this helps but I'm using the R4 Revolution SDHC(clone apparently) with the 1.24(english) firmware.
I was having the exact same problem with the addition that if I deleted games, I couldn't add any that would show up.
I'm a patient guy(mostly) so I started extensive research of my own. I found that-
1. The "version 1.25" kernel offered at
http://WWW.r4sdhc.com would give me the "Loading" screen freeze -So I used the 1.24 and all seems fine.
2. The memory card (KIngston 8GB) was performing as expected and holding up to 150 games in the Games folder BUT it was only showing 78 of them with the additonal titles making individual folders headed in chinese(I had Drag and Dropped the whole 150 at one time). Also if I tried to delete the "excess" games that weren't in english I would just reduce the overall english titles.
I spoke to a friend who knows more about the FAT (File Allocation Table)systems than I do, His thoughts were that sometimes the FAT can only read up to 99 files without glitching. With this advice I-
1. Unzipped 100 games to their own directory.
2. Re-formatted my memory card with the FAT32 system.
3. Re-installed the version 1.24 english firmware kernel and made my "games" folder.
4. Drag and Dropped a group of 25 games and verified it in my DS. This worked 3 times for a total of 75 games successfully transferred with no hiccups,
5. Transferred a group of 24 games for a total of 99 games with no problems. Once again removing memory card and verifying the integrity of the games.
6. Dragged 100th game and Dropped, removed for verification. Now files got "slightly" wonky again. Directory shows 134 games with 34 of them being duplicate titles.
The duplicates seem to act as shortcuts to the same games.
The duplicate titles are a minor pain but at least I have 100 playable games with no chinese folders.
It's been working fine but I fear the next time I want to put a new game on.......time will tell.
Hope some of this helps-
-Sean
